...in 3 easy steps
While we want to ensure that students have access to the widest possible
pool of opportunities, not all of them may be suitable for the EdGE
Database. Here are some guidelines to assist you in deciding if the EdGE
Database is the best place to let students know about your opportunity:
- EdGE opportunities must be offered internally by the University (e.g.
LEAPS summer school volunteers) or facilitated by the University (e.g.
Erasmus).
- Opportunities must be recurring.
- Paid recurring opportunities that occur within or through the University can also be advertised for free on, MyCareerHub,enabling you to reach the widest possible audience. For more information please go to the Careers Service website or to register directly with MyCareerHub please follow this link
- While opportunities can be tied to specific settings (e.g. a College or School), they should promote equality of access and be available to students regardless of ability to pay, age, disability, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation.
If you have any queries about the suitability of an opportunity, please
send an email to
the database administrators: EDGE.Admin@ed.ac.uk.
