Before you start: finding the right opportunities

What do you need to do to get the EdGE?

First of all, it’s a good idea to think about what it is you would like to develop and how you could go about doing that. For example, you could work on your presentation and networking skills by volunteering as a Student Ambassador.

Have a look at the following questions to help focus your ideas. You might find the MyEdGE Webfolio a useful tool for this.

Keep track of your EdGE

It is a very good idea to record your experiences at University so that you don’t forget what you learned from them. You can use your PebblePad account to record and reflect on all your activities and achievements and to think about what you’d like to do next. The PebblePad e-portfolio is a completely private space which you can use as you wish. It will also be accessible after you graduate, so you can leave University with a comprehensive record of how you got your Edinburgh EdGE.
